Guangzhou plans to tax bright light polluters

Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong Province, plans to be the first city in the country to impose special taxes on creators of neon billboards and other sources of bright light pollution. According to the Guangzhou Daily, the provincial price bureau held a meeting recently with nine local price departments. The meeting concluded that levying taxes on light polluters would be a key project for the price department this year...
